March for Gaza
Thursday, January 15; 11AM - 1PM

March for Gaza from the Bridge to the Button with Penn for Palestine. We will be leaving from the bottom of the bridge (in front of ABP) and marching to the Button in front of the library and back for two hours to raise awareness about what has specifically been going on in Gaza since the 27th of December. Though this will be a silent march, we will be holding signs that reveal facts about the blockade and genocide. Join us and bring friends! The more we are, the more powerful the silent march will be.

We are protesting the genocide and mass slaughter of innocent Gaza residents that have amounted to over 820 deaths (more than 250 children, and 100 women), and over 3350 injured since December 27, 2008. This will be a SILENT protest aimed at informing the Penn community about this attack on civilians in Gaza, illegal under international law. The people of Gaza are trapped, with borders around them closed, and no food, electricity, medicine, doctors, or any of the basic needs allowed through. While imprisoned in this situation they are attacked through constant air strike, ground and sea attacks. We will also be collecting signatures to US government officials to take action and speak out against this humanitarian crisis! We march to raise awareness of this very heart-breaking issue.
