Friends,

I apologize for not being present this evening(11 Dec), I have an important political meeting, which cannot be rescheduled, in Bryn Mawr.

During our last PRAWN meeting, we formed a “Film Committee” and it was decided that I was in charge. Four of you agreed to be part of this Committee as follow:

-Gene

-Ron

-Phyllis

-Larry

A few days after our meeting, I sent the following to the Committee:

Due to the timing of the Blackwater scandal, I
feel that it is most appropriate to show a film on
the war profiteers: "IRAQ for SALE"
- Who's getting killed. Who's making a killing-
I hope you approve.

Now, in view of the criticism that - at just
cause- PRAWN is getting for not having been involved
in the October 27th event, I think that it is
imperative that we take back the reputation and
pride that we once used to have. We are due for
action right now, so let's start!

1- What day are you available to see the film? It
will have to be an evening.
I am mostly available on Sundays, Mondays and
Tuesdays but I also can make a Thursday as long as
it is not before 6:30PM

2- Larry, can we get a room at the 1606 Walnut?

3- We spoke about a fundraiser for Bill in January
( We still can do this), but I strongly feel that we
should show this film before Xmas! Why wait? many
things can happen from now and then. LET'S DO IT!
Please respond (reply to all) ASAP!
Best,
Monique

I sent this message a second time, as no one (except Larry) bothered to respond

And Phyllis dropped out as she told me that she made a mistake in signing in.

As of today, December 11, the Committee is reduced to 2 people (Larry and me)

I will let Larry report on our work as my reason in writing this is simply to let you know how disappointed I am and that I no longer wonder why so many people have left PRAWN – unless you give me some other explanations I do not know-

Monique
