Mark Levin briefed us on the round table meeting promptly at the 2:35 minute mark. Labor joined progressives in getting together with groups that do letter drops to Congresspeople.

Sandy Davies summarized actions in and concerning Iran and Syria and other hotspots.

Virginia Hauflaire introduced Father Roy Bourgeois at the 14:00 minute mark, he founded School of the Americas Watch. He related the history of SOA Watch from its opposition to the war in El Salvador. They've carried out a yearly protest at Fort Benning, GA, where the School of the Americas is located. The group sees most of the issues of the day as connected. Father Roy related how he was excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church for refusing to denounce the ordination of women. He sees the status of women in the church to be a function of power, not of theology.

The last part of the discussion concerned Honduras and a member's desire to go there to be in solidarity with Hondurans.
